Backpack in San Francisco

Rick and I wanted to celebrate our 10 year first date anniversary by doing something spontaneous and quick. So we decided to visit San Francisco for a couple days. The caveat—no suitcases just a backpack.

Now before I share our video of this trip, I have a question.

Why is it that my husband can travel with one bag of bathroom stuff and I typically need six? What’s up with that? I know that our society pushes more health and beauty products and expectations on women, but seriously? Maybe it’s because the mom in me dictates that I have to be prepared for anything!

Well I was proud of myself on this backpack jaunt because I only packed two bathroom bags! Funny how not being able to take a suitcase forced me to be more lean and efficient.
