FAIR WARNING: My blogs are an eclectic group! Each depends on whatever strikes me in the moment. I also don’t always write them on a regular basis. However, I enjoy hearing your comments. Feel free to share with others!
If you’re specifically looking for my On the Move blog series based on my travels, you will find them scattered in the posts below or click HERE for a shortcut to just those travel posts.
Just a Smidgin
This is a slightly modified version of something I penned three years ago as I tried to make sense of things. Although, I was referring to the breakup of my 21 year marriage, it was a vivid example of how over time we have the power to change our lives.
Baggage
Use your imagination as I tell you a story. First, I want you to picture in your mind a huge pile of all different types and sizes of bags. Rolling suitcases, duffle bags, backpacks, cosmetic bags. Zippered, buttoned, latched. In your mind, see the stack. The stack is BIG.
Last Words and The Old Woman
Six years ago, I received a phone call from my father. At 88 years of age, and my mother at 86, it had become too difficult for them to make it to the grocery store alone.
Screenplay to Novel
This photograph was taken in January 2013 during a short personal writing retreat. One day was spent snapping photographs around beautiful Sedona, Arizona, but most of the time I was working on a feature length screenplay.
Anna
I imagined that Anna had experienced what most would consider a difficult life. Dysfunctional family, bouts with addiction, peppery jobs.
Breathing Sunshine
Illness, accident, death. Loss of a job, a home, a child. Many of these are in no way a foreign experience to any of us, those unexpected tragedies life throws out.
And Off We Go!
Well, I’m writing a blog! I know blogging has been around for years, now. I have enjoyed reading them periodically, but have never given back, until now.
